“Russia offers Ukraine surrender”: leaders summarize the results of the meeting of the “Coalition of the Willing”

During the meeting of the “Coalition of the Willing,” all participants agreed that state borders should not be changed by force.

President Volodymyr Zelensky wrote about this .

“It was very useful. We continue to coordinate our common positions. Clear support for the independence and sovereignty of Ukraine,” the message says.

According to Zelensky, everyone agrees that the main issues need to be resolved in a trilateral format — Ukraine, the United States, and the Russian leader.

“This is a historic decision that the United States is ready to participate in security guarantees for Ukraine. Security guarantees based on the results of our joint work should be truly very practical,” the president noted, adding that they should provide protection on land, in the sky, and at sea and be developed with the participation of Europe.

All participants are also developing a common vision for the future peace agreement, so that it is “truly fair, fast, and one that works.”

At the same time, as Le Figaro notes , French President Emmanuel Macron stated that Russia is offering Ukraine a peace agreement in the form of surrender.

“There is only one state that offers peace, which would be a capitulation: Russia. (…) If we are weak with Russia today, we are preparing for the conflicts of tomorrow,” the leader is convinced.

As a reminder, the day before, French President Emmanuel Macron announced a new meeting of the participating countries of the “Coalition of the Willing” to achieve “concrete progress.”

It is known that on August 17, Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in Brussels , where he held a bilateral meeting with Ursula von der Leyen and joined the meeting of the “Coalition of the Willing”.
