In the Pokrovsk area of Donetsk Oblast, Russian military personnel are preparing for a new offensive by bringing in reserves.

This was reported by the press service of the Group of Forces “East”.

“The situation in the Pokrovsko-Mirnograd agglomeration area remains difficult. Signs of the enemy’s preparation to intensify offensive actions with the involvement of accumulated reserves are being detected,” the military said.

The enemy is concentrating its efforts to advance towards the central part of Hryshyne. At the same time, the Russians are attacking the settlement from the north and south.

In addition, the occupiers are seeking to completely capture Pokrovsk and Mirnograd. Despite the enemy’s efforts, units of the Defense Forces are holding positions on the northern outskirts of the cities.

Among other things, the enemy in the area of the Pokrovsko-Mirnograd agglomeration is increasing the number of air strikes and the use of other firepower.

“The Ukrainian Defense Forces are countering the enemy’s intentions, deterring enemy assaults. In particular, enhanced aerial reconnaissance is being carried out, additional mining of probable enemy advance routes and blocking of enemy logistics is being carried out, and search and strike actions are being systematically carried out. Our drone units, artillery, and aviation are actively working. Our soldiers are inflicting significant losses on the enemy,” the group explained.

It was previously reported that the Russian occupation forces have intensified their attempts to capture Pokrovsk and Mirnograd. Ukrainian units are countering these actions and strengthening their defenses.

As is known, the Russians have increased pressure from Kotlyne and Rodynske and are operating in small assault groups. Ukrainian units are conducting aerial reconnaissance, mining potential routes of advance, and destroying enemy groups on the approaches.
