On the morning of April 13, Russian occupation army soldiers resumed attacks on railway infrastructure, striking a location near a freight train locomotive in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
This was reported by the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development and the press service of Ukrzaliznytsia .
“The resumption of attacks on railway infrastructure after a relative lull, unfortunately, was not long in coming,” wrote UZ.
According to the ministry, the monitoring center recorded an air threat. As a result, railway workers stopped the suburban train at the nearest station and organized the evacuation of 500 passengers. The locomotive crew of the freight train left the cabin.
After that, the Russians struck a spot near the freight train locomotive.
“Thanks to the coordinated work of the air threat monitoring center and locomotive crews of Ukrzaliznytsia, we managed to prevent possible casualties among passengers and railway workers,” the department emphasized.
When the air raid alert ended, the passengers returned to the train, and the transport continued moving.
It was previously reported that Russia plans to change its attack tactics and strike not only at energy, but also at critical infrastructure — in particular, railways and water supply systems.
