Russia shelled Nikopol: man killed, two others wounded

Russian occupiers attacked Nikopol in Dnipropetrovsk region today, June 17. A man was killed. Two others were wounded.

The Dnepropetrovsk regional prosecutor’s office reported this.

According to the investigation, on June 17, 2025, the enemy attacked the city with artillery and UAVs.

As a result of the shelling, a 63-year-old man was killed. Two local residents, aged 37 and 50, were injured. Infrastructure, private homes, an educational institution, outbuildings, and cars were damaged.

Under the procedural leadership of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office, a pre-trial investigation has been initiated in criminal proceedings regarding the commission of a war crime that resulted in the death of a person (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

Let us recall that on the night of Tuesday, June 17, the Russian occupation army launched a massive combined attack on Kiev. As a result of the attack, 14 people were killed and more than 50 were injured.

It later became known that as a result of the massive combined attack that the Russians carried out on Kiev on the night of June 17, the number of casualties increased to 60 people .

As reported, on Tuesday, June 17, the Russian occupation army launched a massive drone strike on Odessa. As a result of the shelling, people were wounded, including children.

Also in Odessa , rescuers freed the body of a deceased 60-year-old woman from under the rubble of a residential building.
