Russia shelled railway infrastructure in Chernihiv region: trains are running with delays

On Tuesday, September 30, the Russian army again attacked the Chernihiv region, and the railway infrastructure came under attack.
This was reported by the press service of Ukrzaliznytsia.
As a result of the shelling, the track in the direction of Nizhyn was de-energized. Experts are currently examining the area.
All rail transport operating in the Chernihiv and Sumy directions will be operated by reserve diesel locomotives.
In addition, the company informed about delays. In particular, the most significant deviation from the schedule is for train No. 143 Sumy – Lviv – more than 7 hours. At the same time, the train in the opposite direction will also depart with a delay.
“We apologize in advance for all forced delays, we will reduce them, and also — as is already traditional — we will take care of safe transfers,” Ukrzaliznytsia emphasized.
As a reminder, on the morning of September 30 , Russian troops launched a massive strike on the Chernihiv region . Due to the consequences of the strikes, Ukrzaliznytsia warned of changes in traffic: some flights from Kyiv to Nizhyn have been canceled, others are running with delays.
