Blackout in Chernihiv: Russian Shelling Leaves Entire Region Without Power

Russian attacks on the Chernihiv region’s power infrastructure have left numerous residents without electricity, further straining local communities amid the ongoing conflict.

This was reported by JSC “Chernihivoblenergo”.

“The northern part of the Chernihiv region is currently without power due to another attack on the region’s power system,” the company reported.

They added that specialists will begin emergency restoration work as soon as the security situation permits.

Chernihivoblenergo also urged residents to remain calm, avoid spreading unverified information, and take personal safety precautions.

It is worth noting that as of the morning of October 20, there are power outages in several regions due to Russian shelling.

By the way, the Ministry of Energy said that the Russian army has changed the tactics of strikes on the Ukrainian energy system, focusing on attacks on individual facilities in specific regions.
