Amid financial problems, one of the Russian Federation’s industrial centers is investing money in propaganda, not development.

This was reported by the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine.

It is noted that the Russian budget in 2025 already has a deficit of $47 billion, which is five times more than last year’s figures.

Krasnoyarsk Krai, which is one of Russia’s key industrial centers and produces over 70% of the country’s nickel, 35% of aluminum, and over 90% of platinum metals.

It is also home to over 30 oil and gas fields. However, the region’s gasification rate is only about 20%, which contrasts sharply with the Russian average of 73.8%.

Amid all the problems, local authorities have allocated funds for the Kremlin’s propaganda whim. For $65 million, they will build a youth palace for the “Movement of the Firsts” – an all-Russian children’s and youth organization that Russian dictator Putin created after the start of a full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

“The palace, which will have two buildings with a total area of almost 30 thousand square meters, is intended to become a center for educating “future imperial youth.” The project includes concert and conference halls, exhibition galleries, co-working, a first aid training center, as well as classrooms for student groups, etc. Obviously, the project does not talk about cultural or spiritual education.

Putin has previously intervened in the educational process by taking control of the content of history textbooks in schools . During a closed meeting with editors of educational materials, he criticized the old editions, saying they were “soaked in Russophobia” and “distorted historical facts.”
