Russian propaganda is once again spreading a fake about an alleged “proposal by environmentalists” to bury dead Ukrainian soldiers in special biodegradable bags to increase soil fertility.

This was reported by the Center for Countering Disinformation.

The Central Intelligence Agency noted that the Russian side first launched this fake in 2023, and now propaganda resources are reusing it as part of a new information campaign.

To do this, the enemy is spreading a falsified story allegedly from the broadcast of the “United News” telethon using the logo of the “1+1” TV channel.

The Center emphasized that this video is a fake, and the “1+1” TV channel has never published such material.

As explained by the CPR, Russian propagandists took footage from a viral video about an Italian company that introduced the concept of organic burial back in 2015, and then changed the graphics to blue and yellow.

The Center stated that the goal of such a campaign is to demoralize Ukrainian society and create the impression of the state’s alleged disdain for the memory of fallen soldiers.
