Russia strikes Kamianske: people killed, dozens of facilities damaged
On the night of Tuesday, July 29, Russian forces launched a missile strike on the city of Kamianske in the Dnipropetrovsk region. The shelling killed two people and injured five others. Among the injured was a pregnant woman.
This was announced by the mayor of Kamianskyi, Andriy Bilousov, and the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Lysak.
According to Lysak, the strike partially destroyed a three-story building that was not in use. At the same time, a maternity hospital and a department of the city hospital were significantly damaged.
“Two people died. Five more were injured. Two of them are in serious condition, one of the injured is pregnant. Three more patients are in moderate condition,” he noted.
As Belousov reported, the maternity and therapeutic departments of city hospital No. 9 were significantly damaged as a result of the strike. All windows were broken in the buildings, the roof was damaged, and several cars in the hospital parking lot were destroyed. All patients were evacuated to other medical institutions.
In addition, windows were broken in the buildings of the children’s polyclinic and the dermatovenereological dispensary. Destruction was also recorded in educational institutions – lyceums No. 31 and No. 11, gymnasium No. 8 and kindergarten No. 2 were damaged. In some of them, doorways were turned out.
The residential sector suffered from the shelling: damage was recorded in 49 apartment buildings and private houses, and over 300 windows were broken.
Due to the destruction of transport infrastructure, public transport traffic has been temporarily changed. Buses No. 7 and No. 8 are running on a new route along Tarasa Shevchenko Avenue, bypassing Vidrodzhennia Avenue.
In addition, the Nikopol and Synelnyk districts of the region also came under enemy fire.
According to Lysak, Russian forces used artillery, kamikaze drones, FPV drones, and guided aerial bombs (GABs).
In the Marhanetska and Pokrovska communities and the city of Nikopol, at least 8 private houses, several outbuildings, a shop, an entertainment venue, an administrative building, and power lines were damaged. A fire broke out and a car was destroyed.
In the Synelnyky district, the Mezhivska, Dubovykivska, and Slovianska communities came under fire. Houses, shops, a gas station, and an administrative building were damaged, and fires were recorded.
One person died as a result of the impact, and two others were injured.
In addition, in the evening, the enemy attacked the Velykymykhaylivka community with guided bombs. A 75-year-old woman was killed, a 68-year-old man was injured. A private house was destroyed.
As a reminder, on the night of Tuesday, July 29, Russian troops carried out another attack on the territory of Zaporizhzhia region . One of the airstrikes hit a correctional colony. The shelling resulted in significant destruction and numerous casualties.
As reported, on Monday, July 28, Russian occupation forces attacked the Kharkiv region , and the Dergachiv community came under attack from drones.
