Russia strikes Kharkiv: drones cause fire and injure people

On the night of Wednesday, July 30, Kharkiv was subjected to another attack by Russian troops — the city was attacked by drones. The strike damaged civilian infrastructure, caused a fire, and there were casualties.
This was announced by the Mayor of Kharkiv, Igor Terekhov.
The first enemy drones were spotted over the city at around 01:30. Less than half an hour later, at 01:54, Ihor Terekhov reported an explosion in the Shevchenkivskyi district. The mayor warned that more strikes were possible.
And already at 02:19, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleg Synegubov, confirmed that a suicide drone had again been spotted in the city’s airspace.
According to preliminary data, a car caught fire as a result of shelling in the Shevchenkivskyi district. Later, information appeared about other damage.
“As a result of the attack, a car wash was damaged, windows in high-rise buildings were broken, and a supermarket was damaged. A car also burned down. There was no information about the victims at first, the situation is being clarified,” Terekhov wrote.
Later, he reported three victims — two women and one man. According to Oleg Synegubov, one of the victims is 33 years old, and the woman is 24.
Around 05:00, the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office released a video showing the aftermath of the nighttime attack on the Shevchenkivskyi district. Destroyed infrastructure, debris, and traces of fire are visible.
As a reminder, four employees of the State Emergency Service were injured due to targeted Russian strikes.
