Russia strikes Naftogaz facility again: technological processes halted

On Tuesday, January 27, Russian occupation forces struck a critical infrastructure facility of the Naftogaz group in the western region of Ukraine.
As reported by the company’s press service , a fire broke out on the spot as a result of the hit, the company’s press service reported on January 27.
“For safety reasons, to protect people and prevent environmental pollution, the company’s specialists immediately stopped technological processes at the facility. Rescuers from the State Emergency Service are working at the site,” said Serhiy Koretsky, Chairman of the Board of Naftogaz.
It is noted that response actions are being coordinated with local authorities and relevant services.
Naftogaz stated that this is the 15th targeted attack on its critical infrastructure facilities since the beginning of January alone.
“Naftogaz continues to operate under a constant military threat, focusing efforts on personnel safety, minimizing the consequences of attacks, and maintaining the stability of the energy system,” the company added.
Naftogaz did not specify where the attacked facility was located, but it is known that on January 27, the city of Brody in the Lviv region was attacked by “shaheeds”. A powerful fire broke out there. There is a noticeable unpleasant smell in the city. Schools have suspended classes.
