Russia strikes oil depot in Chernihiv region: large-scale fire breaks out

On Tuesday, October 14, Russian forces again attacked northern Ukraine, striking Chernihiv and Sumy regions. A drone attack killed one man and caused a large-scale fire at one of the oil depots.
This was reported by the Operational Command “North”.
According to military sources, during the night the Russian army shelled Chernihiv region 22 times, 84 explosions were recorded. Novgorod-Siversky, Koryukivsky and Nizhynsky districts came under fire.
In Semenivka, the enemy hit a store in the city center with an FPV drone. The store owner was killed, and a wounded local resident was taken to the hospital. After the strike, a fire broke out, which was extinguished. During the day, two more attacks were recorded in the city, which damaged residential buildings.
An oil depot caught fire in the Nizhyn district after being hit by four strike drones. As specified in the Chernihiv OVA, the enemy attacked a civilian infrastructure facility with a wave of drones, and the fire is being extinguished by the State Emergency Service units.
The situation in Sumy Oblast was no less tense: there, Russian troops carried out almost 110 attacks on 37 settlements in 15 territorial communities. The largest number of attacks was recorded in Sumy and Shostka districts.
As a reminder, due to the consequences of Russian shelling , hourly power outages are in effect in the Chernihiv region . Restrictions are not yet applied in the rest of Ukraine.
Also, Monday morning, October 13, began with another hostile attack for the Chernihiv region. A Russian drone hit a store in the town of Semenivka, Novgorod-Siverskyi district , causing a fire and casualties.
