Russia strikes Palau-flagged ship in Odessa region

Russia struck a Palauan-flagged vessel in the Odessa region during night and morning attacks. In addition, residential buildings and critical infrastructure were hit in a number of regions of Ukraine.
This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelensky.
According to him, Russian troops struck a ship flying the flag of Palau in the Odessa region. The president did not provide other details about the type of ship, the nature of the damage, or possible casualties on board in his statement.
Russia also attacked Kharkiv. One of the strikes hit a multi-story building, partially destroying the second and fourth floors.
At the time of Zelensky’s statement , 28 people were known to have been injured, including nine children . Later, Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported that the number of injured had increased to 35 people .
In Kyiv, drone attacks have damaged residential buildings, communications facilities, and gas stations. Russian strikes have also damaged a cafe and a grocery market.
In Zhytomyr region, Russia damaged an ice cream factory.
“There were strikes on residential buildings in Sumy, Rivne, Kharkiv, and Odesa regions. Critical infrastructure was attacked in Vinnytsia, Dnipropetrovsk, Khmelnytskyi, and Zaporizhia regions. Emergency services are working wherever needed,” Zelenskyy said.
Two people were killed in the Kyiv region as a result of Russian attacks. According to the president, one of the dead was a citizen of Azerbaijan.
Zelensky also called on partners to strengthen support for Ukraine with air defense, energy assistance, and financing.
“Clear decisions are needed. Air defense assets, energy support, assistance with covering budget deficits – this is what really strengthens Ukraine today and helps our people survive,” the president emphasized.
Recall that earlier Russia attacked the port infrastructure of the Odessa region and damaged a foreign ship . Then a merchant ship under the flag of Antigua and Barbuda came under attack, one person died, and three more were injured.
