Russia struck with 11 missiles and hundreds of drones: air defense shot down most targets

On the night of Tuesday, May 5, Russian occupation forces launched another massive attack on Ukraine. The strikes began on the evening of May 4, at approximately 6:00 p.m.
This is reported by the Air Force.
The enemy used several types of weapons at once: 11 Iskander-M ballistic missiles launched from the territory of the Rostov, Voronezh and Bryansk regions of the Russian Federation, as well as 164 strike drones of various types. These are Shahed drones (including jet), Gerbera, Italmas and Parodia simulator drones flying from the directions of Bryansk, Kursk, Orel, Shatalovoye, Primorsky-Akhtarsk, Millerovoye, as well as from the temporarily occupied Crimea.
The attack was repelled by air defense forces in cooperation with aviation, anti-aircraft units, electronic warfare forces, and mobile fire groups.
According to the military, as of 09:00, air defenses had shot down or suppressed 1 ballistic missile and 149 enemy drones in various regions of the country – in the north, south, east, and center.
However, it was not possible to avoid hits. According to preliminary data, 8 ballistic missiles and 14 drones were hit at 14 different locations. In addition, debris from downed targets fell in 10 more places.
The military also said that two ballistic missiles did not reach their targets. Details are currently being determined.
