Russia trains labor migrants in Central Asia and promotes its influence – SZRU

Russia is developing a scheme to train migrant workers directly in the countries of Central Asia and using it as a tool of cultural influence.

This was reported by the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine.

This is an initiative to conclude agreements between Russian businesses and vocational schools and colleges in Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan – countries that remain the main suppliers of labor to the Russian Federation.

According to the SZRU, the scheme involves training specialists on site with subsequent employment in Russia for a specified period. The training programs plan to include Russian language and cultural elements.

The official reason for the initiative is a shortage of personnel. The Russian Ministry of Labor predicts a shortage of technical specialists by 2032. The Russian economy lacks engineers, blue-collar workers, and production personnel.

At the same time, according to Ukrainian intelligence, Moscow is trying to maintain influence in the region, where countries are increasingly distancing themselves from the Kremlin. Training young people through educational programs allows the Russian Federation to form a loyal environment even before employees leave for abroad.

SZRU notes that Russia is already testing similar mechanisms in African countries, combining economic projects with humanitarian expansion.

It was previously reported that Russia is actively building a state propaganda network on the African continent.

As a reminder, the Russian State Duma proposed to import-substitute Disneyland by creating an amusement park called “Cheburlandia”.
