Denis Kardash, the senior sergeant of the Black Raven drone battalion of the 93rd Kholodny Yar brigade, reported that Russia has intensified the use of unmanned aircraft in the Donetsk region, having transferred elite units of UAV operators from its rear in the Kursk region, which have been effective in strikes against Ukrainian logistics.
He spoke about this on Radio NV.
Kardash said that the occupiers have created specialized strike groups called “Rubicon” and “Judgment Night,” which include experienced drone pilots. These operators underwent combat “hardening” in Kursk, where they successfully attacked Ukrainian logistics, in particular, destroying cargo, equipment, and infrastructure.
The military noted that the drones operate using fiber-optic communication , as well as strike UAVs of the “Lancet” and “Molniya” types. The main goal is to ambush equipment and disrupt logistical routes.
At the same time, the Defense Forces adapted to new threats by changing transportation tactics, covert operations, and approaches to detecting enemy operators.
“We have changed logistics, arrival times, even types of transport. Shelters are now built differently – and this really saves lives. We are constantly detecting enemy operators and working to stay ahead of them,” Kardash noted.
By the way, on June 9 , Russian occupation troops occupied a settlement in the Donetsk region , and also advanced near the Dnipropetrovsk region.
Previously, the Russian occupiers managed to gain a foothold 2 kilometers from the administrative border of the Dnipropetrovsk region.
As a reminder, the Russian Defense Ministry stated that the Russian army has allegedly reached the western borders of the Donetsk region and continues to advance on the territory of the Dnipropetrovsk region.
