A local resident was detained in Kharkiv for making explosives to carry out terrorist attacks and poisoning Ukrainian servicemen.
This was reported by the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
As the investigation established, in January last year, the defendant contacted representatives of the Russian special services and agreed to cooperate with the enemy.
To carry out FSB tasks, the Kharkiv woman purchased the necessary components and made homemade explosive devices, and to damage a larger number of people, she filled the device with metal elements.
On one occasion, a woman left an explosive device at a location indicated by Russian “curators.” Another agent took it from there and planted it near the house of a veteran of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, injuring the man.
The suspect planted another device near her house, and another she disguised as a fire extinguisher and kept at her residence. Law enforcement officers discovered them and neutralized them in time.
“In addition, on the instructions of the “curators”, the traitor systematically manufactured and transferred various medical drugs to the Ukrainian serviceman with the aim of causing his death,” the report says.
Despite an urgent search, the soldier was diagnosed with acute chemical poisoning and died a few days later.
The suspect was detained in 2025, and has been under arrest since March. In turn, prosecutors approved and submitted to the court an indictment under a number of articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The woman faces life imprisonment.
As a reminder, the Security Service of Ukraine detained an employee of one of the capital’s banks who turned out to be a Russian agent. The suspect was passing on personal data of soldiers and volunteers to the FSB.
Earlier, the Security Service of Ukraine detained an FSB agent who was preparing a missile strike on the Kropyvnytskyi thermal power plant. The suspect turned out to be a 16-year-old resident of Kropyvnytskyi.
