On the night of January 4, Moscow was attacked by drones. As a result, four airports were temporarily closed.

This is reported by Russian media.

In particular, around midnight, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced on social media that Russian air defenses had allegedly shot down another drone, which, according to him, was heading towards the capital.

According to Sobyanin, 19 UAVs flying towards Moscow were allegedly shot down between 19:37 and 23:37 local time. He did not report on the consequences of the attacks on the ground, but noted that emergency services were working at the sites of the debris.

Throughout the evening, Rosaviatsia restricted the operation of Vnukovo and Zhukovsky airports, as well as airports in Yaroslavl and Ivanovo, located north and northeast of Moscow.

At the same time, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced the alleged shooting down of 104 drones over nine regions of Russia and over annexed Crimea on Saturday evening.
