Russian Army Attacked Ukraine with 183 Drones and 11 Missiles: How Air Defense Worked

On the night of June 15, Russian troops launched a massive attack on Ukrainian territory, launching 183 drones of various types and 11 missiles. The main target was Kremenchuk in the Poltava region.

The Ukrainian Air Force reported this.

The strike included two Kh-47M2 Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles, one Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missile, four Iskander-K cruise missiles and four Kalibr missiles. Ukrainian aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units and mobile fire teams were deployed to repel the air attack.

As a result of the air defense, it was possible to neutralize 167 air targets: 119 were shot down by fire weapons, another 48 lost their location. Among those destroyed were 159 drones (111 were shot down), two Kinzhal missiles, three Iskander-K and three Kalibr.

At least six impact sites of drones, missiles and their debris have been recorded in Kremenchuk, causing serious damage to infrastructure.

Let us recall that on the night of June 15, Russian troops launched a massive attack on the Kremenchug community in Poltava region. Drones and missiles were used in the attack, including cruise and aeroballistic missiles of the Kinzhal type.
