Russian army drone strikes Zhytomyr: two police officers killed, 20 people injured
In Zhytomyr, two police officers were killed in a Russian attack on the afternoon of August 19. At least 20 people were injured.
This was reported by the National Police of Ukraine with reference to the acting head of the department, Maksym Tsutskiridze.
According to him, Russian troops attacked Zhytomyr with “Banderol” drones. One of the strikes fell on the building of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Zhytomyr region.
The attack killed two police officers and injured at least 20 people.
A fire broke out in the police building after the impact. The fire spread to the roof and the fourth floor.
“Our colleagues died today. This is an irreparable loss for the National Police,” Tsutskiridze said.
Police, rescuers, and other emergency services are working at the site of the Russian strike.
