Russian attack damages checkpoint in Odessa region: traffic to Moldova stopped

On the night of August 21, Russian forces attacked the Odessa region with drones. The strike damaged the Tabaki international checkpoint on the border with Moldova.

This is reported by the State Statistical Service of Ukraine.

It is known that the Russians attacked the Bolgrad and Izmail districts of the region with “Shaheeds”.

One of the strikes hit the infrastructure of the Tabaki checkpoint. The attack damaged the facility’s buildings and structures.

Rescuers extinguished the fires that broke out after the impact. At the same time, due to damage to the facility, the movement of people and vehicles is currently suspended. Vehicles are being redirected to other checkpoints.

In particular, Ukraine informed the Moldovan side about the situation.

It was previously reported that during a massive attack on the night of August 20, Russian drones also attacked a checkpoint on the Ukrainian border with Moldova in the Odessa region.
