Russian attack destroys mobile medical bus in Dnipropetrovsk region

In the suburbs of Dnipro, a Russian attack destroyed a vaccine bus that was being used for field immunization of residents of the region.

This was reported by the Public Health Center of Ukraine.

The medical team was on its way to one of the communities in the Dnipropetrovsk region to conduct vaccinations when the attack occurred.

The bus was completely destroyed, but the medics managed to leave it before the explosion, so there were no injuries.

This transport was received by the State Institution “Dnipropetrovsk Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health” in 2023 from the World Health Organization Ukraine.

The bus provided access to vaccinations in remote and frontline communities, which are often difficult to reach by conventional means.

In total, the World Health Organization has donated 59 such buses to centers for disease control and prevention throughout Ukraine.

The Center for Public Health emphasized that Ukrainian doctors work every day in extremely difficult conditions, saving people’s lives, and should not become a target for attacks.

They also emphasized that attacks on civilian infrastructure remain a systematic practice of the aggressor state, and this case is another signal for the international community to increase pressure on Russia.
