Russian attacks damaged energy infrastructure: where are the new power outages?

Residents of five regions of Ukraine are without electricity as a result of Russian shelling. The most difficult situation as of the morning of July 3 was in the Donetsk region, where the largest number of new power outages were recorded due to damage to the energy infrastructure.

This was reported by NPC Ukrenergo.

In addition to Donetsk, there are also power outages in Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Zaporizhia, and Kherson regions. Power engineers are already carrying out emergency restoration work where the security situation allows.

Ukrenergo notes that electricity consumption in Ukraine is growing. As of 09:30, it was 7.9% higher than at the same time the day before. One of the reasons is cloudy weather and rain in parts of the western and central regions, which has reduced the efficiency of household solar power plants.

The company recommends using powerful electrical appliances between 10:00 and 16:00, when solar power plants produce the most electricity. In the evening, from 16:00 to 23:00, Ukrainians are asked to consume electricity economically so as not to create additional load on the power system.
