A Russian drone attacked a car in eastern Ukraine, injuring an employee of the German newspaper WELT.
This was reported on the Bild Telegram channel.
Reporter Ibrahim Naber was working on a story near the front line, accompanying a group of Ukrainian air defense units. While working in the field, an enemy Lancet drone attacked a car parked nearby.
As a result of the strike, one serviceman died and another was seriously injured.
In addition, three people from the German journalist’s team were injured. Producer Ivan received two fragments in his legs, one of which is so deep that doctors have not yet been able to remove it. Reporter Ibrahim Naber and cameraman Viktor received minor injuries.
The German reporter emphasized that drones have now changed military journalism.
“I remember, in February 2023, we could escort Ukrainian troops only 2-2.5 kilometers from Russian positions. In the city, in broad daylight. Now it’s impossible. In five minutes, the first kamikaze drones would have flown in,” he recalled.
