Russian drones again violated Moldovan airspace: the Ministry of Defense named the number

During Russia’s massive air attack on Ukraine on the night of August 27, at least five drones violated Moldovan airspace.

This was reported by the country’s Ministry of Defense.

According to the agency, the first UAV crossed the border with Ukraine near Belyaevka at 03:56 and returned to Ukrainian airspace a minute later.

The second drone was spotted at 03:59 near Kaplany. At 04:10 it disappeared from monitoring systems near the village of Karagasany.

The third drone crossed the Moldovan border at 04:09 and flew in the direction of Palanca, Krokmaziv, Olanesti and Purcar. At 04:24, it was lost on radar near Pervomaisk.

Another drone entered Moldovan airspace at 04:16 near Palanca, then headed towards Mayaki in Ukraine.

The fifth UAV crossed the border near the Seyts-Lisov checkpoint at 05:50. At 06:02, it left Moldovan airspace and headed towards the Ukrainian Lisov checkpoint.

The Moldovan Ministry of Defense stressed that the violation of airspace occurred against the backdrop of Russian attacks on Ukraine. The country’s authorities, together with partners, continue to monitor the situation in the sky to ensure the safety of the population.

It was previously reported that on the night of August 20, during a massive Russian attack on Ukraine, one of the drones violated Romanian airspace and then fell on the territory of the country.
