Russian drones attacked Kyiv: what is known about the consequences

On the night of September 19, the Ukrainian capital was subjected to another attack by Russian occupation forces using drones. Air defenses worked, but debris from downed drones fell in several areas of Kyiv, causing damage to the city’s infrastructure.

As reported by the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Timur Tkachenko, on his Telegram channel, fragments of the downed UAV were found in several districts of the city. In particular, in the Shevchenkivskyi district, the debris fell onto the roadway, damaging the trolleybus’s contact network.

According to the statement of the city mayor Vitaliy Klitschko, one of the crash locations was recorded in the Solomiansky district, where, according to preliminary data, the drone crashed and exploded. Emergency services were sent to the scene.

Another incident occurred in the Shevchenkivskyi district of the capital. There, debris from a drone fell onto the roadway, damaging the trolleybus contact network.

According to Tkachenko, several points of fall of fragments of downed UAVs were recorded in the city. Fortunately, according to preliminary reports, there were no casualties.

Currently, specialized services are conducting surveys of the territories to determine the extent of the damage and eliminate the consequences of the attack.

As a reminder, the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Vadym Filashkin, reported that as a result of the morning airstrike on Kostyantynivka, Russian troops dropped a FAB-250 aerial bomb on a residential area. As a result , five local residents aged 62 to 74 were killed, and four multi-story buildings were damaged.

As reported, on the night of September 17 , several sections of the railway were cut off due to a Russian attack in the Poltava region . This has caused delays in passenger trains, and one person was injured.
