Russian drones attacked Zaporizhia and Poltava regions: many injured and large-scale destruction

On the night of October 22, Russian troops launched a new massive attack on Ukrainian regions. Zaporizhia and Poltava regions came under the sights of attack drones. As a result of the shelling, there were injuries, large-scale destruction and fires were recorded.

This was reported by the press center of the State Emergency Service.

Russian UAVs attacked Zaporizhia between 01:30 and 01:47. The explosions caused a series of fires in residential buildings – balconies on several floors were on fire, as well as the roof of one of the buildings. The total area of the fire reached more than 150 square meters.

Rescuers quickly evacuated residents from at-risk areas, all emergency services were working. According to the latest data, the number of victims has increased to 13 people, several people suffered serious injuries.

On the same night, Russian drones also struck the Poltava region. According to the head of the OVA, Volodymyr Kohut, damage was recorded to enterprises belonging to the oil and gas complex in the Myrhorod district. Some facilities were damaged by direct hits, others by debris.

There were no human casualties. Work to eliminate the consequences is ongoing, but details have not yet been disclosed.

As a reminder, on the night of October 22 and in the morning , the enemy carried out a combined strike on Kyiv, killing two people. Rescuers are currently eliminating the consequences of the night attack on the capital.
