Russian drones hit residential areas in Cherkasy: many injured

On the night of December 18, Cherkasy suffered a powerful blow from Russian troops — the enemy used strike drones aimed at the regional center.

The head of the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration, Ihor Taburets, reported on the consequences of the attack.

According to him, civilian objects and the city’s infrastructure were damaged as a result of the shelling. Six residents sought medical treatment, all of them received minor injuries and are under medical supervision, and there is no threat to their lives.

Hostile drones struck critical infrastructure, causing power outages in several areas of Cherkasy. Emergency crews are already working to eliminate the consequences of the accidents, and restoration work is underway.

Numerous destructions in the residential sector were also recorded. Due to the fall of UAV debris, private houses were damaged – windows were broken, roofs were damaged, and fires broke out in some areas. Preliminary reports indicate at least a dozen or so households, but the survey of the areas has not yet been completed. In addition, a sports facility and several cars were damaged.

Emergency services continue to record the consequences of the attack and provide assistance to the victims.

We will remind, on the evening of December 17, the head of the Zaporizhzhia OVA, Ivan Fedorov, reported that the number of victims from the Russian attack had increased again.
