Russian propaganda channels have spread reports that the Russian Armed Forces are allegedly in full control of the city of Rodynske in the Donetsk region. This information is not true.
This was reported by the 1st Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine “Azov”.
The corps notes that such statements are intended to create the illusion of the advance of Russian forces and provoke panic in Ukrainian society.
According to the military, to create a “picture” on social media, Russian troops use the usual tactic – they bring small infantry groups into a settlement and try to plant the Russian flag. Such groups quickly destroy units of the Defense Forces, but sometimes saboteurs manage to capture the flag on video.
Currently, search and strike operations are underway in Rodynske to destroy enemy assault groups. Defensive battles are being fought outside the city, and Russian sources’ claims of complete control are unfounded.
The National Guard urges people to trust only official messages from the Defense Forces and not to spread Russian disinformation.
As previously reported, the Kremlin is once again trying to wishful thinking and talking about alleged “successes” of the Russian army at the front. There is no real evidence to support these statements.
As a reminder, the situation in the city of Hulyaipole remains difficult, with part of the settlement under the control of Russian troops. At the same time, a significant part of the city continues to be held by the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
