The Director of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service, Sergei Naryshkin, spread a fake about Ukraine and Britain preparing for sabotage in the Baltic Sea.
This was stated by the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Andriy Kovalenko.
“Ukraine, together with the British, is preparing provocations in the Baltic Sea, one of the scenarios involves staging a Russian torpedo attack on a US Navy ship,” Naryshkin said.
The head of the Central Intelligence Agency, Kovalenko, denied this information. He stated that Naryshkin from the SZR had started talking nonsense due to his old age.
“He came up with a fake about Ukraine and Britain preparing sabotage in the Baltic Sea. And this is the same Naryshkin who organized cable sabotage against NATO using tanker fleet ships,” he noted.
Kovalenko added that after Sweden and Finland joined NATO, the usual Russian strategy in the Baltic Sea has completely failed.
“Here Naryshkin comes up with various nonsense and provocations to somehow curry favor with Putin. Only Russia can come up with some kind of sabotage in the Baltic Sea, as it has done before,” the head of the Central Intelligence Agency emphasized.
Earlier, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry reported on Russia’s preparation for a large-scale information special operation , which will be aimed at undermining trust in the Ukrainian authorities and discrediting Ukraine in the eyes of the international community.
