Russian night attack: ballistic missile and 89 UAVs shot down

On the night of January 14, air defense forces shot down and suppressed one ballistic missile and 89 enemy drones.

This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

From 6:30 p.m. on January 13, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with three Iskander-M ballistic missiles from the territory of the Rostov and Voronezh regions of the Russian Federation, as well as 113 Shahed, Gerbera, and other types of drones.

The UAV launches were carried out from Kursk, Orel, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk in the Russian Federation, as well as Chauda and Gvardiyske in the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. About 70 of the drones were Shahed drones.

The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, as well as mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

According to preliminary data, as of 08:00, air defenses had shot down or suppressed one ballistic missile and 89 enemy UAVs in the east and north of the country.

At the same time, two ballistic missiles and 24 strike drones were recorded hitting 13 locations, as well as the fall of debris from downed drones at three locations.

The attack continues, enemy drones remain in the airspace.
