Russian offensive ended with practically nothing – General Staff reveals details

The latest “seasonal” offensive campaign by the Russian occupiers ended in practically nothing; the occupiers did not gain complete control over a single major city.

This was announced by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, thus responding to the report of the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation Valery Gerasimov on the “results of the spring-summer campaign of 2025.”

“It (the report, – ed.) is based on attempts to pass off wishful thinking as reality and outright lies. After all, after three and a half years of full-scale Kremlin aggression, its latest “seasonal” offensive campaign ended in practically nothing,” the report says.

It is noted that, despite Gerasimov’s statements, Russian troops have not gained full control over any major city. However, since the beginning of the year, in senseless battles in the Kharkiv, Luhansk and Donetsk regions, the Russians have lost almost 210 thousand of their soldiers killed and wounded, 2,174 combat armored vehicles, 1,201 tanks, 7,303 artillery systems and 157 reagents have been destroyed or damaged.

“The enemy’s fake reports about “security zones” in the Sumy and Kharkov regions are nothing more than an attempt to hide the failures of operations that have resulted in a dead end and tens of thousands of losses for the enemy. This year, in the operational zone of the Kursk command post alone, our soldiers have eliminated 19,080 fighters. The troops are actively fighting in the Sumy region, where they have occupied Kondratovka and Andreyevka, and are pushing the enemy out of other border settlements. The figures provided by the occupiers regarding the captured territories and settlements are significantly overstated. A thousand soldiers have been killed and wounded. The mass awarding of 120,000 Russian soldiers only confirms the scale of the losses,” the General Staff noted.

Regarding the “high-precision strikes” of the aggressor country “exclusively on military targets” – the price of this boast is known to thousands of peaceful Ukrainian residents who are losing their homes, relatives and friends every day. Wherever a Russian “Iskander” falls – there “will be” a “command post of the Armed Forces of Ukraine” or a “base of foreign mercenaries”. The consequence of Russia’s constant violations of international humanitarian law is human life. Thus, only the indiscriminate attack of the Russian Federation on Kyiv on August 28 killed 25 civilians, including four children.

The thesis about “destruction of the Ukrainian missile industry” is also a propaganda illusion. Regular precise strikes on military facilities deep in Russia are the best refutation of the Kremlin’s fables.

“General Gerasimov’s final report is a typical example of aggressive Kremlin lies and arrogance. The Ukrainian Defense Forces are holding the front, destroying and exhausting the occupier and proving that no Kremlin propaganda will hide the failure of the Russian spring-summer campaign of 2025.”
