Russian “Shaheed” flew into Romanian territory: the country scrambled fighter jets to intercept the drone

During the Russian air attack on Ukraine, a Russian drone violated Romanian airspace and flew into the country’s territory.
This was reported by monitoring Telegram channels.
As noted, the drone, which was in the sky over the Odessa region and flying towards the settlement of Vylkove, crossed the border with Romania.
Later, he changed the vector and returned from Romanian territory to the Odessa region, and then flew back.
Subsequently, the Romanian publication Digi24 confirmed information about the violation of airspace by a Russian Shahed drone.
Citizens living in the northern part of Tulcea County were informed about the possibility of objects falling and urged to take necessary safety measures.
According to News.ro , Romanian troops intercepted the drone. To do this, two F-16 fighter jets from the Feteşti airbase were deployed into the country’s airspace.
Earlier , Poland again took to the skies due to the activity of Russian strike drones in Western Ukraine.
As a reminder, on the night of September 9-10, the situation in Eastern Europe escalated again – Russia launched a massive strike on the territory of Ukraine, while a number of enemy drones crossed the air border of Poland . This forced Warsaw to activate air defense forces and engage aviation.
It should be noted that 19 Russian drones violated Polish airspace . Polish air defense forces were able to eliminate only four of them. It should be added that later , in addition to the seven drones, a missile fragment was also found on Polish territory.
By the way, on the morning of September 10 , Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk initiated an urgent government meeting due to an incident involving the violation of the country’s airspace by Russian drones.
