Russian Strikes Trigger Fresh Blackouts Across Ukraine

Due to new Russian attacks on energy infrastructure, some consumers in several regions of Ukraine were left without electricity. Outages were recorded in the Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions.

This was reported by the Ministry of Energy.

Emergency and restoration work continues at an intensified pace.

“Energy engineers are working in an intensive mode to restore power supply to all subscribers as soon as possible. Restoration work continues around the clock,” the post says.

At the same time, the company noted that as of today, the introduction of electricity restriction schedules is not expected.

Ukrainians were also urged to use electricity rationally to reduce the system’s load.

“Active energy consumption today should be shifted to daytime hours — from 10:00 to 17:00. In the evening hours, we ask consumers to use electricity sparingly, if possible—from 18:00 to 22:00,” the energy experts added.

As a reminder, the Russian occupation army struck one of the districts of Kharkiv with a drone. After the hit, a fire broke out, and emergency services quickly arrived.
