Ukrzaliznytsia has warned of delays in a number of passenger trains due to Russian shelling and damage to railway infrastructure elements.

This is stated in the company’s message on Telegram.

“Due to massive enemy attacks, we have complicated traffic in several regions at once. We are involving reserve traction, combined transportation, and, where possible, detour routes,” the UZ noted.

Part of the railway infrastructure was damaged as a result of enemy shelling in the Kirovograd region. The fire was quickly extinguished, there were no injuries – passengers and employees took shelter in time.

Traffic on both tracks has already been restored, however, due to the power outage in the section, several trains continue to run under backup locomotives, which caused delays of over two hours.

In particular, the following trains are running late:

No. 51/52 Odesa – Zaporizhia

No. 127/128 Lviv – Zaporizhia

No. 7/8 Kharkiv – Odesa

No. 53/54 Dnipro – Odesa

Due to shelling, train traffic has also been restricted in the Kharkiv region. Trains to Lozova run on a changed route with delays. Ukrzaliznytsia has temporarily introduced combined services – some passengers are being transported by buses.

So, at night, buses transported passengers of train No. 92/91 Kramatorsk – Odesa – Kramatorsk.
Train No. 103/104 Kramatorsk – Lviv also changed its route.

Despite the difficulties, UZ successfully conducted a planned civilian evacuation from Lozova on this flight – 19 passengers with limited mobility, two cats, and a dog were transported.

In the future, trains will run on a detour route via Merefa with delays of up to two hours:

No. 102 Kherson – Kramatorsk

No. 104 Lviv – Kramatorsk

No. 712 Kyiv – Kramatorsk

In Sumy region, due to enemy attacks, temporary combined logistics have also been introduced. Passengers of flight No. 787 Tereshchensk – Kyiv are being taken by buses to Konotop, where a transfer to train No. 779 Sumy – Kyiv has been organized.

“We ask passengers to remain calm, be patient, and follow updates on the official resources of Ukrzaliznytsia,” the company emphasized.
