In Kyiv, a data center of the company “Datagroup” was completely destroyed as a result of a nighttime ballistic strike by Russia. The equipment and infrastructure of the facility cannot be restored, but the company continues to provide services to clients from backup sites.

“As a result of a nighttime ballistic attack, the equipment and infrastructure of the Datagroup data center were completely disabled. Unfortunately, its restoration and further operation are impossible. Our employees were not injured. We continue to provide services to clients from backup sites,” the company reported.
“Datagroup” provides subscribers with communications in over 90 settlements in Ukraine. At the same time, the destruction of the Kyiv data center does not mean the automatic termination of services in all settlements where the operator operates.
Having a backup infrastructure allows services to continue operating after the loss of the primary facility. However, the company did not say whether individual services might be out of service.
Also, data on the total cost of damages, the amount of equipment destroyed, and plans for the construction of a new data center have not yet been released.
