Russian strikes and thunderstorms knocked out power to parts of Ukraine: situation in the power system

Due to Russian attacks on energy infrastructure and bad weather, some Ukrainians were left without electricity.
This was reported by Ukrenergo.
As of the morning of June 24, consumers in Sumy, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Zaporizhia regions were without power.
Where the security situation allows, power engineers have already begun emergency restoration work. Specialists are working to restore power supply as soon as possible.
Also, due to difficult weather conditions, 20 settlements in Sumy and Kirovohrad regions were partially or completely left without electricity. The cause was thunderstorms and strong gusts of wind.
At the same time, electricity consumption in Ukraine has decreased. This morning it was 4.2% lower than at this time the day before.
Energy experts explained this by sunny weather and more active operation of household solar power plants.
Ukrainians were urged to postpone the use of powerful electrical appliances to daytime hours — from 10:00 to 17:00. In the evening, from 18:00 to 22:00, it is recommended to limit electricity consumption.
