Russian strikes knocked out power in five regions: where there is no light now

Consumers in five regions have been left without electricity due to Russian strikes on the energy sector. Currently, there is no electricity in Sumy, Chernihiv, Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, and Kyiv regions.

This was reported by NPC Ukrenergo.

The department noted that wherever the security situation allows, energy workers have already begun emergency restoration work.

“Electricity consumption is showing an upward trend. Today, September 9, as of 09:30, it was 1.7% higher than at the same time the previous day — Tuesday.

“Yesterday, September 8, the daily maximum consumption was recorded in the evening. It was at the same level as the maximum of the previous day — on Monday, September 7,” the energy company noted.

In particular, Ukrenergo emphasized that active energy consumption today should be postponed to the period of the most effective operation of industrial solar power plants – from 10:00 to 15:00.

Consumers were also urged to limit the use of powerful electrical appliances in the evening hours – from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
