A Russian Su-30 fighter jet crashed during a training flight in temporarily occupied Crimea. The crew ejected, the pilots were evacuated, and there is no threat to their lives.
This was reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense.
According to the Russian agency, the incident occurred at around 11:00 Moscow time during a scheduled training flight. The Russian Defense Ministry noted that the plane was performing a mission without ammunition.
The fighter crew managed to eject after the accident, after which the pilots were evacuated by a search and rescue team.
“There is no threat to the lives of the pilots,” the Russian Ministry of Defense reported.
