Elevated Russian troop movements have been detected across multiple eastern frontlines, signaling a significant escalation in the enemy’s offensive efforts, as previously anticipated.

This information was shared on television by Major Viktor Tregubov, spokesman for the operational-strategic group of troops “Khortytsia.”

He noted that Russian troops remain highly active. On June 15 alone, there were 135 clashes within the area of responsibility of the Khortytsia Military District.

Commenting on Russian attempts to advance toward the administrative border of the Dnipropetrovsk region, Tregubov stated that currently, activity is observed in only two directions — Pokrovsk and Novopavlovsk.

He also mentioned that the enemy has several combined arms armies concentrated in the Pokrovsk direction. Despite such a large concentration of forces, they have been unable to capture Pokrovsk.

“Their latest campaign, conducted directly toward the city of Pokrovsk, was unsuccessful this year and resulted in heavy losses for them. Now they have shifted their focus. Part of their group, which we consider to be part of the Pokrovsk direction, is moving westward, attempting to break through toward the Dnipropetrovsk region, while another part is advancing eastward in the northern section of this direction, trying to push beyond the Pokrovsk – Konstyantynivka highway to make further progress,” Tregubov explained.

He emphasized that Russian troops continue to actively employ small infantry groups and light equipment. Additionally, he noted that the Russians are attempting to infiltrate Ukrainian lines unnoticed by using forested areas for cover.
Earlier, the State Border Service of Ukraine reported that Russian occupation troops are continuing their attempts to enter the territory of Sumy Oblast in small assault groups. However, the number of such assaults has decreased.
We would like to remind you that the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has introduced changes to the structure of front-line units, adding a new direction of combat operations – Northern Slobozhansky. The reason for this decision was the activation of Russian troops in the border areas of Sumy region.
