Russian troops attacked a residential area in the Kharkiv region: there are wounded

On the night of Wednesday, March 18, the Russian occupation army struck a residential sector of the village of Zolochiv in the Kharkiv region with a drone.

This was reported by the Department of the State Emergency Service in the Kharkiv region.

As a result of the hit, a fire broke out – structural elements of two destroyed private residential buildings with a total area of 180 sq. m. were burning.

Five victims are currently known.

Despite the threat of repeated enemy shelling, the State Emergency Service units were working at the scene. 14 rescuers and 3 pieces of equipment, including a medical team and a community rescue officer, were involved in the elimination of the consequences.

At the same time, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleg Synegubov, noted that eight people were injured in the Kharkiv region over the past 24 hours as a result of Russian strikes.

Kharkiv and nine other settlements in the region were hit.

In the village of Zarichne, two women aged 55 and 79 suffered acute stress reactions. In Slatyne, a 41-year-old man was injured. In Zolochiv, five people were injured — men aged 53 and 56 and women aged 56, 45 and 39.

The Russians also attacked the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kharkiv with drones. In total, nine guided bombs, five Geran-2 drones, two FPV drones, and some more UAVs are being deployed in the region.

The shelling damaged a warehouse in Kharkiv, residential buildings and outbuildings in several districts of the region, as well as railway infrastructure in Zmiiv.

In addition, the transit evacuation point in Lozova received 179 people per day, and in total, more than 23,000 evacuees have already been registered there.

As reported, since 6:00 PM on March 17, the Russians have been attacking Ukrainian cities with drones . Ukrainian air defenses have neutralized 128 out of 147 drones.
