Russian troops attacked Cherkasy with missiles: there are wounded, including a child

On the night of Thursday, July 24, Russian occupation forces launched a missile strike on Cherkasy. The enemy attack caused large-scale fires in the city, and the number of injured is seven people, including a child.

According to the head of the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration, Ihor Taburets, several fires broke out in various areas of the city as a result of the hits.

“A rocket strike on the regional center. According to preliminary information, we have at least six injured,” he noted in his address.

Later, Cherkasy City Mayor Anatoliy Bondarenko clarified that the number of injured had increased to seven, including a child. The victims were hospitalized with injuries of varying degrees and are receiving necessary medical care.

Rescuers, medics, police, and explosives disposal teams are working quickly at the scene of the attacks. The fires caused by the shelling were extinguished by morning.

City authorities are urging residents to stay in shelters during air raids and not ignore danger signals, as the threat of new attacks remains high. The Ukrainian Air Force has warned of the possible use of ballistic missiles by the Russians.
