Russian troops attacked the railway: train traffic between the Dnieper and Zaporizhia was partially restricted

On the night of Thursday, February 26, the Russian occupation army again carried out a massive combined attack with drones and missiles on Ukrainian cities and communities.

This was stated by the Minister of Community and Territorial Development, Oleksiy Kuleba.

“At night, Russia again carried out a massive combined attack with drones and missiles on Ukrainian cities and communities. Among the targets are critical and civilian infrastructure,” the post says.

He noted that the Russians struck railway infrastructure facilities in Kharkiv, Zaporizhia, and Donetsk regions. In addition, a drone hit the territory of a children’s railway in the Kharkiv region.

Due to the security situation, train services to and from Dnipro-Holovny station have been temporarily restricted, in particular: No. 86/85 and No. 128/127 (Lviv – Zaporizhzhia – Lviv), No. 6 (Yasinya – Zaporizhzhia) and No. 40/39 (Solotvyno – Zaporizhzhia – Solotvino).

“The connection between Dnipro and Zaporizhia is currently mainly provided by bus transfers,” Ukrzaliznytsia noted.

“The aggressor is deliberately striking at facilities on which people’s daily lives depend – heat, light, water, transport. This is targeted terror against the civilian population,” the official emphasized.

Kuleba added that all relevant services are working on the ground.

As reported, on the night of Thursday, February 26, the Russian occupation forces launched a massive attack on Ukrainian cities. Kharkiv, Kryvyi Rih, and Zaporizhia came under attack.
