Russians announced the capture of Skela fighters in Kostyantynivka: the regiment’s reaction has appeared
The “Skelya” regiment has confirmed that two of its servicemen were captured by Russian forces during fighting in Kostyantynivka, Donetsk region. The unit said it was working to return the fighters and stressed that Russia was using this episode for information manipulation.

The regiment reported that they are aware of information disseminated by Russian sources regarding the capture of Ukrainian servicemen. All circumstances of the incident are currently being established, but details of the operation in Kostyantynivka are not being disclosed.
The statement emphasized that Russian propaganda is trying to use a separate episode of the battle as evidence of the alleged failure of the entire operation of the Ukrainian military in the city.
“Russian propaganda is trying to present a separate episode of the battle as a refutation of the results of the entire operation in Kostyantynivka. This is manipulation. Fighting for the city continues, and individual successes or losses of the sides do not change the overall picture of the battle,” the regiment said.
“Skel” noted that the most important thing now is that the servicemen remained alive, and the unit will facilitate all necessary procedures for their speedy return.

The unit also reported that during the same battles, Ukrainian soldiers captured two Russian occupiers.
The regiment emphasized that war does not consist only of victories, and after successful sweeps, the enemy tries to regain lost positions and conducts counterattacks.
“The demonstration of Ukrainian prisoners of war does not indicate either the capture of Kostyantynivka or the defeat of the regiment. The enemy traditionally uses prisoners of war as a tool of information warfare, trying to demoralize Ukrainian society and discredit the military command,” Skela said.
The unit called on not to help the enemy spread information manipulation and noted that they expect the return of every Ukrainian serviceman.
By the way, on July 18, the fighters of “Skele” reported the completion of clearing Kostyantynivka, Donetsk region, from Russian forces. After completing the combat mission, the Ukrainian military raised the national flag over the city.
