“Russians are fleeing from the rear”: GUR destroyed eight companies of the occupiers at once and stopped the enemy’s breakthrough in Sumy region

In Sumy region, Ukrainian intelligence officers from the “Timur Special Unit” of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine conducted a lightning operation, disrupting a large-scale offensive of Russian troops. Thanks to the coordinated actions of the military, the enemy lost more than eight companies of manpower, and the Russian advance was completely stopped.

The reconnaissance operation took place behind enemy lines, where Ukrainian fighters destroyed enemy positions, gained a foothold in important areas, and cut off the supply of ammunition and food to the occupiers. As a result, the Russian offensive in the Sumy direction completely collapsed.
According to radio intercepts, enemy soldiers refused to go on the offensive against positions controlled by the soldiers of the “Timur Special Unit”, justifying this with far-fetched reasons. Panic gripped the Russian units – the assaults were thwarted before they even began.
The released video captures the most striking moments of the operation: raids deep in the rear, precise artillery work, close combat, strikes by FPV drones and grenade launchers. This combat film is proof of the high efficiency of Ukrainian units.
Total enemy losses amounted to at least 334 killed and over 550 wounded .
Several special units of the “Timur Special Unit” participated in the operation, including: “Chimera”, “Yunger”, “Stugna”, “Siberian Battalion”, “Aratta”, “1514”, “Paragon”, “Art Division”, “First Line”, “Raven Group”, BDK and “6th Special Operations Detachment”.
It is known that as of the morning of August 5, Russia had lost about 1,058,260 soldiers since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Over the course of the day, the enemy’s losses in manpower reached 1,120 people.
By the way, the Russian occupation forces have accumulated a large number of personnel between three cities in the Donetsk region — Pokrovske, Dobropillya, and Kostyantynivka.
