Russians are increasing the intensity of shelling in Sumy region: what is the situation in the border area?

In the border areas of Sumy region, Russian occupation forces are increasing the intensity of attacks, more often striking with the help of combat aircraft.

This was stated by the spokesman for the State Border Guard Service, Andriy Demchenko, during a telethon.

In particular, according to him, the enemy is dropping guided aerial bombs and also striking with unguided aerial missiles.

However, as Demchenko emphasized, in addition to attacks on Defense Forces positions, the occupiers are attacking settlements in Sumy region.

Currently, the most vulnerable places are the Yunakivska and Khotynska communities, where the enemy attacks almost every day.

It is also known that the Russians do not use armored vehicles to breach the border, and infantry groups that try to penetrate the territory of Ukraine are destroyed by the Defense Forces.

“The enemy cannot advance deep into the territory of Ukraine thanks to the resilience and heroism of the Ukrainian defenders, in particular the units of the Armed Forces and the State Border Service,” the spokesman for the State Border Service of Ukraine added.

It was previously reported that the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to conduct active combat operations in the Sumy region , displacing Russian army troops.

By the way, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that enemy troops did not achieve their goal in the Sumy region .
