Russians attack South Bridge for the second time: support and roadway damaged

Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko reported that a Russian UAV had hit the Southern Bridge. According to preliminary data, the bridge structures and roadway were damaged. Metro and ground transport traffic across the bridge was stopped. After that, information appeared on social networks that the Russian Federation may be preparing a second strike on the bridge using ballistic missiles.

According to the mayor of Kyiv, as a result of the UAV hitting the Southern Bridge, the support, bumper, roadway, and concrete barrier of the subway were previously damaged.

Due to damage, metro and ground public transport traffic on the Southern Bridge was stopped.

Subsequently, reports appeared on social networks that the Russian Federation was allegedly planning to attack the South Bridge again during one of the next ballistic strikes on the capital.

The authors of the reports claim that for a second attack, Russian forces could use Iskander-M missiles or North Korean KN-24 ballistic missiles.

It is also noted on social networks that the bridges across the Dnieper in Kyiv have allegedly been among the planned targets of Russian troops since 2024, and the Southern Bridge may now be one of the priority targets.

Earlier it was reported that two UAV hits were recorded in Kyiv near the supporting part of the Southern Bridge . Metro and ground public transport traffic on the bridge was temporarily stopped.
