Russia launched a missile strike in the city of Balakliya, Kharkiv region, damaging residential buildings and cars. One person is reported dead and the number of injured has risen to 7.

This was reported by the head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, Oleg Synegubov.

After a rocket attack on the city of Balakliya, Kharkiv region, damage was recorded to apartment buildings and parked cars. Units of the State Emergency Service and emergency medical teams immediately began work at the scene.

According to preliminary data, one person was killed in the attack. Five were injured, including a 14-year-old girl.

Later it became known that the number of victims had increased to 7. Medics also provided assistance to a 12-year-old child.

Later, another victim, a 61-year-old man, sought medical attention and was hospitalized due to his injuries.

Rescuers and emergency services continue to work at the scene of the crash. The extent of the damage is being assessed and details of the casualties are being clarified.

At the same time, according to the State Emergency Service, 3 people died and 13 more were injured, 4 of them children.

“As a result of the attack, a private residential building, balconies of high-rise apartments, and cars were on fire. 9- and 5-story residential buildings, a kindergarten, and cars were damaged,” the report said.
