Russians attacked Kyiv: a building caught fire in the center

On the night of Thursday, February 26, the Russian army attacked Kyiv with drones and missiles. Explosions rang out in the city, and air defenses were activated.

This was announced by the city mayor Vitali Klitschko and the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Timur Tkachenko.

According to Tkachenko, the enemy used strike drones and ballistic missiles. Residents were urged to remain in shelters until the airstrike is over.

In the Darnytskyi district, windows and doors in an apartment on the first floor of a nine-story residential building were damaged by falling debris from a blast wave. There was no fire. No injuries were reported.

A private estate caught fire in the Holosiivskyi district due to falling debris. The fire has been contained.

A two-story private house caught fire in the Pechersk district. There is currently no information about casualties. The fire has been extinguished.
