Due to the consequences of the night attack by Russian troops in Kyiv, traffic restrictions were introduced on the Southern Bridge, Paton Bridge, and Metro Bridge. At the same time, the traffic pattern at two crossings was changed during the morning.
This was announced by Kyivpastrans and Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko.
Initially, the South Bridge and Paton Bridge were closed to traffic in both directions, and on the Metro Bridge, traffic was restricted towards the right bank.
Buses No. 22 and 91 were rerouted through the Darnytskyi Bridge due to the Southern Bridge closure. Buses No. 51, 55, 115, and 118-D, which usually go through the Paton Bridge, began operating there as well.
Trolleybuses No. 43 and 50 operated on shortened routes. No. 43 ran from Kibtsentr to Lybidska Square, and No. 50 ran from Myloslavska Street to Darnytska Square.
On the Metro bridge, bus No. 1-M temporarily changed its route and moved across the Podilskyi bridge.
Subsequently, traffic on the Metro bridge was restored, and bus No. 1-M returned to its usual schedule, but continued to run with a deviation from the schedule.
As of 7:55 a.m., Klitschko clarified that the Southern Bridge remains completely closed to traffic in both directions. On the Paton Bridge, traffic was restricted from the right to the left bank, and on the Metro Bridge, only one lane was left from the left to the right bank.
As reported, on the night of October 2, Russian troops again attacked the Southern Bridge in Kyiv. A 25-story residential building in the Darnytskyi district was also damaged as a result of the enemy strike.
